You may be asking yourself, “Who is Rebecca Howe?”, “What’s she all about?”, And “Why is she ‘Your Twenty-Something PR Girl’?”. Well, I am glad you asked.
After graduating Corning Community College, I went to the State University of New York at Oswego (SUNY Oswego), and never looked back. My years at SUNY Oswego were some of the best years of my life. It opened up so many opportunities for me that I will always be grateful for. I found PRSSA & Del Sarte Dance Club and knew it was where I belonged. Not only did I fall in love with the Oswego sunsets, but I also could not get over how wonderful the School of Communication, Media, and the Arts is at Oswego. I was inducted into the Tau Sigma National Honor Society & Lambda Pi Eta during my senior year and graduated with honors.
Why have I branded myself as ‘Your Twenty-Something PR Girl’? Well, I could tell you it is because I am passionate about PR, but there is so much more to it. I love brainstorming, coming up with creative ideas to inform and engage the public, being the go-to person for communication needs, and creating & maintaining a unique brand reputation. PR is not just a 9-5 job, it’s a way of life, and it is precisely how I want to live my life. My goal is to literally be your twenty-something PR girl that you can turn to, tell stories, inspire, and give advice to those in the communication field.
When I am not working, you can find me adventuring through state parks, hanging out by the lake, dancing, spending time with my friends, cuddling with my cat, or watching The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Fun facts: I live off of green tea, Chrissy Teigen sent me her dress from Lip Sync Battle, I think dinosaurs are fascinating, I am a Tone It Up girl, and Dove dark chocolate is my weakness.
