Some claim having multiple social media accounts, such as ones that separate personal and professional posts, may make it seem like a person is hiding something or has multiple personalities. That was one of the last things I wanted people to think after learning this from other communication professionals, so at the time, I decided to keep everything in one account to stay authentic and transparent.
Your Next Smoothie Bowl Obsession
I love to cook, bake, and all things health and fitness, especially after finding Tone It Up, so I can’t help but share this smoothie recipe, which may turn into your next smoothie bowl obsession!
Your Twenty-Something PR Girl Blog Turns One!
The Your Twenty-Something PR Girl blog turned one on November 14! They say the only time you should look back is to see how far you’ve come and that’s exactly what I’m doing today. This is a great opportunity to reflect on this past year, even though it feels like I launched this blog yesterday. Isn’t it crazy how time flies?
My blog hasn’t failed, it’s simply been asleep…
When I started Your Twenty-Something PR Girl in November 2016, I dove right in and gave myself three days to launch the site. I know that sounds crazy and impulsive, but hey, it wouldn’t be me without a little touch of crazy and impulsiveness. And as much as I love to have a plan, I did that to myself to fully commit to it; I pressured myself into a quick deadline so it would get done because my passion for this blog was burning so bright and I was tired of putting it off.
I’m Not Going to Apologize for my Healthy Lifestyle
I was the girl who constantly looked in the mirror and wondered why I wasn’t as slim as my friends. I would always suck in my stomach and wish for a flatter belly, bigger chest, smaller thighs. Confession: I Failed My Way to a Successful Life
This might just be out of the fear of getting in trouble growing up, but I always hated making mistakes. It’s not even like my parents beat me or anything, so who knows where the fear even came from. I’m not even kidding – just walking by the principal’s office in school would scare me.
Burning Bridges in the Communication Field
In my twenties, I’ve come to learn that building relationships in the communication field is fundamental to being successful. As a new and young public relations professional, it is also my job to build a trusting relationship between the public and organizations.
How I Achieved and Maintained my Fitness Goals with a Full-time Job
Our fitness goals tend to be put on the back burner when it comes to a busy schedule. We find excuse after excuse to not fit in a workout because we think we don’t have time or are just too tired. The problem is we believe that we don’t have time when we actually do and we’re tired because we’re not working out. Just like we carve out time to do other daily activities, we have to do the same for working out.
Why I Walked Out of an Interview and Will Never Regret it
After graduation, I was trying to take it easy and not jump into a full-time job, but at the same time, I was ready to start working in my field. I applied to about three jobs a week that interest me, and some called me back, and some didn’t. There was one in particular that had a great nonprofit PR description and helped the environment at the same time, which I felt I qualified perfectly for.
